Channahon, national pain management expert and the recipient
of numerous state and local awards
One daughter, Molly, a graduate of the Joliet public
schools and a junior at Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame,
Indiana.

Led extensive efforts to bring about school
funding reform and property tax relief such as organizing
town hall meetings, testifying at Speaker Madigan's
Bipartisan Budget Summit, arranging for an Illinois Senate
Education Committee hearing to be held in Joliet, writing an
op-ed piece on tax reform for The Herald News, leading Will
County delegation to "A Day for Illinois Children" rally at
the state capitol.
